We know that the testimony given that help was at least eight hours away is a lie. We know that the attack being caused by a film which no one saw was a lie. Good catch Robert. All of the people involved in the first bombing of the WTC were caught, tried in Federal Court in New York City, found guilty, and are spending the rest of their lives in Federal Prison. Our Federal Court System works just fine in terrorist cases.

When the USS Cole was bombed, Richard Clark of the FBI was sure it was al Qaeda, but to be sure a team was sent to investigate and make sure. They had a hard time getting in, because other countries like to think that they can take care of business as well as we can; they can't. Once we got in, we collected evidence, talked to witnesses, and concluded that it was al Qaeda and not one of the other terrorist organization in the area. By the time they made the call and made it public, Bush was about to be inaugurated. The CIA got right on the case, because even if the chief changes, the workers are the same. Cheney was brought in on it so he would be prepared. Once in office, Cheney, in charge of terrorism did nothing. When asked by a reporter what he was going to do, he said that was Clinton's thing.

Cheney did not have a meeting on terrorism until August of 2001, although high ranking members of the FBI and CIA kept telling him there were members of al Qaeda coming to get us soon and we have to be ready. I don't like much of what Governor Christie does, but he does care about his state. He wasn't thinking about what it was going to do for his electability when he was talking to President Obama about getting help for his state; he was being Governor. He politely thanked the President and acknowledged how fast he had gotten there to assess the damage, and how much help New Jersey needed.

When the Republicans in the House decided to slap New Jersey and Christie down for having been grateful and polite, Christie fought back. That doesn't change the fact that he is a conservative Republican, but I bet he will think twice before getting in bed with many of them. What I like is that everybody is drawing a line so soon. They love their children, but if Kennedy had lived, he probably would have been a push over unlike Obama.
