Man Indicted for Choking Woman in Londonderry
The charges stem from an incident that occurred last year.
An Allenstown man has been indicted on multiple assault charges for allegedly choking a woman in Londonderry last April.
Ernest Hamel, no age listed, of 193 River Road was indicted this month by a Rockingham County Superior Court grand jury on one count of attempted second degree assault, one count of second degree assault, two counts of criminal threatening, and two counts of simple assault.
According to the indictments, on April 22, 2012, Hamel "knowingly engaged in the strangulation" of a woman in Londonderry, putting his hands around her neck and putting his foot on her chest.
He also threatened to kill the woman and said he would "put a contract out on her life."
