Yet when the top-seeded Londonderry Lancers met the No. 11 Exeter Blue Hawks on the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium baseball diamond – on Saturday, June 8 – it was an the underdogs who captured New Hampshire's Division I crown.
Despite suffering a 16-0 home walloping to the same Lancers' team on May 20, Exeter – which finished the regular season with a 9-9 record – won when it mattered most, defeating 16-4 LHS, 3-2, to take the D-I throne.
