TV News: Catch Londonderry Grad Josh Logan on 'The Voice'

Local singer/songwriter had his chance to wow the reality TV talent show judges. Will he go all the way?

Big news for fans and followers of local singer/songwriter Josh Logan: He's taking his talent to TV Land, scheduled to appear on the Season Premiere of "The Voice," Sept. 23, 8 p.m. on NBC-TV.

He broke the news via Twitter and Facebook with this:  "Hey folks, I auditioned for @NBCTheVoice!!! Tune in September 23 to see how I did! #manchvegas #CantWait #luckyguy"

Logan, who performs solo as well as with a rotating cast of local musicians as Josh Logan Music, has been making the rounds locally and nationally for years, playing some of New Hampshire's hottest live music venues, including Fody's Tavern in Nashua, Portsmouth Gaslight, The Derryfield and others in Manchester, and featured act at the annual Svedka Ice Bar at the Bedford Village Inn, to name a few.

He is a graduate of Londonderry High School, according to his Facebook page. Logan has been performing in one capacity or another for the past two decades (we've uploaded a recent recording session from YouTube with this story.) You can also sample some of his original music here, on joshloganonline.com.

Although Logan told us he's taken a vow of corporate silence about how things went for him on "The Voice," we do know he's been "on musical hiatus" for most of the summer, which is a great sign, given the blind auditions took place July 9-12.

The other big new this season is that original celebrity judges Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green are back, after a hiatus which brought us substitute judges Usher and Shakira. You can watch their "Reunited" promo here.

For those not familiar with Logan, not only has been been a force in the local music scene for years, but he's no stranger to being a contestant on musical reality TV shows.

Logan appeared as a contestant on "Rockstar Supernova" back in 2006, in which he was one of 15 finalists vying for a shot to be frontman for the proposed supergroup, Supernova, featuring Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted, and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke. Logan was eliminated in episode six. The show ended slightly worse for Supernova, which lost a legal battle of the rights to the band name Supernova a few months later.

If you'd like to become a groupie, check out his calendar here. If you'd like to root for Logan, make sure to mark your TV viewing calendar for Sept. 23.
