Holiday Stress Seminar Tonight

The session is part of the Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce's new monthly seminar series.

The Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce through its Health & Wellness Committee will now offer monthly seminars in an effort to address concerns and provide insight into many health & wellness issues.

For business owners understanding how to prevent lost productivity in the workplace due to health issues may be of greatest concern. For the typical parent or guardian, an interest in childhood obesity or questions about new vaccines and disease prevention in children may raise fears. A fresh search for information is a constant for seniors and their caregivers needing to navigate the Medicare system effectively, while taking advantage of the benefits. Each of these groups will find answers to dilemmas as topics such as this are presented by local experts.

The first Seminar: “Managing Stress & Healthy Food Choice Through The Holiday Season,” will provide insight into the physical symptoms of stress, the methods for identifying the triggers and managing the outcomes. In addition, learning to pick and choose your favorite holiday treats, while maintaining some self-control and keeping with your self-care goals as you move from one holiday event to another will also be addressed.
