When is Sonic Coming to NH?

We went straight to Sonic's VP of public relations for the answer. Here's what he had to say.

Last week, we answered Rick Pickard's question about when Five Guys is scheduled to open on the Seacoast of New Hampshire.

But Richard, another Patch reader, said what he really wanted to know was when another popular national restaurant chain is coming to New Hampshire.

"Actually, what I'd like to know is rather than another 5 Guys, which seem to be poping up EVERYWHERE, I'd like to know when we are going to finally see our OWN Sonic Drive-In! Currently you have to travel to either Peabody or Willmington MA to enjoy the Sonic experience."

As Richard pointed out, the closest Sonic restaurants are in Massachusetts, and right now there are no locations in the Granite State.

So we asked Patrick Lenow, Sonic's vice president of public relations, if the chain has any plans to expand into New Hampshire anytime soon.

"New Hampshire is absolutely in our future growth plans," Lenow said via email. "We are primarily a franchised company. Entry into New Hampshire requires that right mix of location and a great franchise partner(s)."

Lenow said Sonic is currently considering its options in New Hampshire, and qualified franchise candidates are welcome. Details on what it takes to become a Sonic franchisee can be found at sonicdrivein.com/franchise.

Just what we need--another CHAIN selling greasy (check the reviews) unhealthy fast food made easy for our kids--and for us--and you don’t even have to WALK in. Check their menu...A SuperSonic cheeseburger with ketchup has 900 calories and 53 g of fat, 22 of which are saturated fats. A side of large fries adds an extra 450 calories and 18 g of fat. (MayoClinic.com recommends eating less than 78 g of total fat and 15 g of saturated fat per day.) Let's support our neighbors running local places. We have lots of good lunch places who need our business.

Hi Debra With all the great sea food that NH has way is the demand for all the fast food joints so high. here in Conroe Tx we have a fast food joint on every corner, but i do like the Texas style BBQ like the Texas road house or Chilies and some of the locals. all through the south each state has its own style of BBQ. be thankfu that hardies( carls Jr) is not coming to your area, biscuits and gravy with eggs, bacon and cheese on top. But here in Texas we still have the $.99 margarita and good mexican food. Al
