Derry Veteran Dies at 71

Paul Peddle, 71 of Derry, NH, formerly of Somerville, MA passed away on August 5, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family after courageously battling a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Etta (Wamboldt) Peddle and son of the late Frank and Marion (Ryan) Peddle. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his brother's Robert Peddle and his wife Ann and Frank Peddle and wife Judy. Born on August 21, 1941 in Somerville, MA, he served as a member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard and retired from the City of Somerville after 30 years of service to the community. He was an avid reader and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 53 years Etta, sons, Paul and his wife Joanie, Ron and his wife Patrice, and Brian and his wife Debbie; as well as grandchildren, Jason and his wife Caroline, Shannon, Conor, Cailyn, Evan, and Aly Kate (Rosie).

Calling hours will be held on Friday August 9, 2013 from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, MA.
