Former Londonderry Planning Board Member Dies

She was also a former Director of International Procurement for Management Sciences for Health.

Born in California, she was a daughter of Agatha (Palmer) Durkin and the late Richard J. “Dick” Durkin. Elizabeth was a graduate of St. Anselm College in Manchester and was a former Director of International Procurement for Management Sciences for Health and was a former member of the Planning Board in Londonderry. Elizabeth was a very active member of St. Jude Parish in Londonderry and she enjoyed quilting and crafting.

She is survived by her mother, Agatha (Palmer) Durkin of N. Andover, MA., her siblings, Michael E. Durkin and his wife Sharon, Kathleen P. Fraser and her husband, Chris, Sean P. Durkin and his wife, Cyndie, Christopher J. Durkin and his wife Lisa, Eileen M. McLaughlin and her husband, Mike and Patrick R. Durkin and his wife, Pam. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Jason, Chris and Lauren Durkin, Emily and Andrew Fraser, Aedan and Caroline Durkin, Matthew and Zachary Durkin and Ava, Greylon and Vivienne Durkin. Elizabeth had a very close circle of friends. She was predeceased by her father who passed away on September 28, 2013.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 4-8pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A private burial will be held at a later date.
