Funeral This Week for Derry Teen Killed in Crash

Kyle Ross of Derry died in an accident on New Year's Eve.

Kyle B. Ross, 17 of Derry, NH died Wednesday January 1, 2014 in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Kyle was born in Beverly, MA on December 10, 1996, son of Bernard H. and Stasia (Hall) Ross. Kyle was a Derry resident most of his life and was currently a junior at Pinkerton Academy Class of 2015. Kyle enjoyed baseball and had played through his freshman year. His strong ambition and dedication to hard work at his part-time job were the only reasons he strayed away from athletics. Kyle loved to snowmobile, ride ATV’s, boating, snowboarding and enjoyed following sports. Kyle simply loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Bernard and Stasia Ross of Derry, his brother, Erik Ross of Derry, his paternal grandparents, Bernard and Valerie Ross of Errol, NH, his maternal grandmother, Stella Hall of Methuen, MA, also 16 aunts and uncles, 11 cousins, and many extended family and friends. Kyle was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Richard Hall in 2013.

Following cremation, calling hours will be held Wednesday January 8, 2014 from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.

Friends and family are invited to join for a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kyle’s memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
