Phyllis A. Wells, 83, of Plainville, CT, died Monday July 1, 2013 in the Touch Points at Farmington in Farmington, CT. She was born in Cambridge, MA on August 30, 1929, a daughter of the late Daniel Delaney and Mary O'Neill Delaney. She had been a resident of Plainville since 2006, formerly living in Derry, NH and Londonderry, NH for most of her life.
She is survived by four sons, Walter J. Wells, III of North Carolina, James J. Wells and his wife Mae Grace of Manchester, NH, Steven J. Wells and his wife Christina of Mt. Airy, MD, and John J. Wells and his wife Christine of Plainville; two daughters, Marsha Irvin and her husband Don of Belmont, NH, and Mary Villemaire and her husband Rick of Weare, NH; 14 grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, David Delaney and his wife Mary of Somerville, MA; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Walter J. Wells, Jr. who died in 2005.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd from 6 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 5th at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. The burial will follow in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH.
