Shooting Victim from Derry Laid to Rest

Michael Joseph LaRocque attended Pinkerton Academy.

Michael Joseph LaRocque Jr., 24, of Manchester, NH died suddenly on June 9, 2013. Michael was born on March 23, 1989 in Manchester, a son of Michael Joseph LaRocque Sr. and Amanda (Quint) Martel.

Mike attended Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH. Not only did he go there he was also a member and star player on the Astro Football team representing his lucky number, 21. Fishing with his father, Michael LaRocque Sr. and his younger sister, Kennedy LaRocque was one of his all time favorite hobbies. Spending time with friends and family on the weekends was one of Mikes top priorities. Keeping relationships with the ones he cared about most was what Mike was best at. Not mentioning his two beautiful children Haley May and Brayden James who were his everything. Everything meaning pride and joy and reason for living as Mike would put it. He was the world's proudest father.

He is survived by his loving father and his mother. In addition to his parents he is also survived by his three sisters Paxton LaRocque, Kennedy LaRocque, and Sharra Mae Martel. Also his stepmother Wendy Hicks, of Londonderry, two aunts, Tina Hardwick and her husband Allen, of Manchester and Heidi Clark Ebol and her husband TJ of Amherst, two uncles, Matthew Siwik and the late Gil LaRocque of California, his beloved “Meme” Nancy Siwik and Grandparents Connie and Donnie Clark of Manchester. But most importantly his two kids Haley May LaRocque and her mother Felicia Gazza and Brayden James LaRocque and his mother Stevie Giribaldi. Also several cousins, extended family and many friends.

Following cremation, calling hours were held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 10-12pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A memorial service followed at 12 noon in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Michael J. LaRocque memorial fund set up at TD Bank North.
