Attempted Homicide Suspect in Custody
Thomas George, 18, of Salem, has been apprehended.
Police say they have apprehended the 18-year-old local man who stabbed and beat his mother Thursday morning.
Thomas George fled the scene of the crime on Cluff Crossing Road, and police have also reported that they have recovered his vehicle in Derry. The vehicle was found abandoned and still running.
According to emergency radio broadcasts, George's mother was being transported to Lawrence General Hospital by medical helicopter due to her injuries.
