I-93 Crash Victim Flown to Boston

The accident closed both northbound lanes of Interstate 93 for 30 minutes April 16.

The driver of a 2007Nissan Sentra that rolled over and crashed into trees off Interstate 93 in Londonderry on April 16 was flown to a Boston hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

New Hampshire State Police said Annie Demirel, 62, of Penacook, was medflighted to Tufts Medical Center for treatment.

The accident, which occurred at about 10 a.m. north of Exit 4 northbound, occurred when the woman's 2007 Nissan Sentra drifted to the right side of the road, and she veered back across the highway and rolled over and crashed into trees, police said.

Both northbound lanes on I-93 were closed for about 30 minutes while the helicopter landed and one lane was closed an additional 30 minutes while the scene was cleared of the wreck.  

State Police asks that anyone with information about the accident call Trooper Larry Lundt at Troop B at (603) 223-4381.
