Upon arrival, the reporting officer met up with Lambert who reportedly told the officer he was walking home from an unknown bar in Concord.

“I observed that Lambert was slurring his words, had bloodshot glassy eyes, had trouble walking, and had an intense odor of alcoholic beverage coming from him when he spoke,” the officer reported.

Another man, a Virginia state trooper, reported seeing Lambert in a 2001 Nissan Maxima that was driving in the parking area of the apartment complex “driving recklessly.” The man told the officer the vehicle was on the west side of the apartment complex. He ran between the buildings in an attempt to follow the car. He went to speak to Lambert who was, at that point, standing next to the vehicle allegedly “fumbling around with some items inside the vehicle.”

The reporting officer spoke with witnesses in the area and a passenger of the vehicle who alleged that Lambert was driving.

Lambert was asked to perform some field sobriety tests and reportedly refused and was arrested. He refused bail and was arraigned on Feb. 24.
