Penacook Woman Injured in Londonderry Crash

New Hampshire State Police called to I-93 accident; woman med-flighted to Boston.

A local woman is in a Boston hospital after an accident on I-93 in Londonderry this morning.

According to a release from the New Hampshire State Police, troopers and Londonderry Fire and Rescue teams were called to I-93 North at around 10 a.m. on April 16, for a motor vehicle crash about a mile north of Exit 4.

After troopers arrived at the scene and did some investigating, it was determined that a Nissan Sentra, driven by Annie Demirel, 62, of Penacook, “drifted off the right side of the road, overcorrected then veered back across the roadway where it rolled over and crashed into several trees off the left side of the roadway,” according to the report.

Demirel was med-flighted to Tufts Medical Center in Boston with non-life threatening injuries.

“The vehicle was destroyed from the crash and was towed from the scene,” according to police.

I-93 North was closed down for about 30 minutes and then, restricted to one lane for 30 minutes while the accident was cleared.

State Police are looking for anyone who may have seen the accident. If you saw the crash, call Trooper Larry Lundt of Troop B at 603-223-4381.
