Teen Faces Arson in Dover Fire that Forced Four Kids from Home

Dover police arrested a 19-year-old local man in connection with a fire April 22 that forced a mother and four children from their home.

Shawn Hoyt, 19, faces a felony arson charge in the fire, police said.

MyFoxBoston reported that Hoyt gave investigators conflicting reports on where he was when the fire began at 28 Broadway in Dover. He said at one point that he was smoking a cigarette in the adjacent garage at the time.

The family fled the house. No injuries were reported, according to Dover Fire & Rescue.
