Two Arrested for Shoplifting Milk from Hannaford

The following are excerpts from the Londonderry police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, April 16

  • 12:14 p.m.: Police arrested two people following an alleged shoplifting incident at Hannaford Food & Drug on Hampton Drive. Sarah Prewara, 27, of 605 Union St., Manchester was charged with theft/shoplifting and resisting arrest or detention. Jason Prewara, 24, also of 605 Union St., Manchester was charged with conspiracy to commit and hindering apprehension or prosecution. Both were released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on May 6. Police were initially called to the store for a report of a woman taking a glass bottle of milk.
  • 2:42 p.m.: Keith Mathew Chapdelaine, 43, of 16 Pine St., Londonderry was arrested on a warrant and charged with four counts of simple assault. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on May 6.
  • 4:13 p.m.: A caller on Mammoth Road said she was driving  her vehicle and turned to look at her child and ran over a street sign.
  • 5:10 p.m.: Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident on Nashua Road.
  • 6:07 p.m.: Police received a report of a 3- or 4-vehicle accident on Garden Lane.
  • 7:01 p.m.: Jonathan Grant Norris, 30, of 1 Ronisa Ave., Litchfield was arrested on a warrant and charged with receiving stolen property. He was held on $5,000 bail and scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on April 17.
  • 9:46 p.m.: Police received a report of a car into a stop sign on Aiken Street.
  • 9:54 p.m.: Thomas Miller, 45, of 20 Royal Lane, Londonderry was charged with simple assault. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on May 6.

Wednesday, April 17

  • 12:19 a.m.: Police responded to a report of an assault in progress at The Stumble Inn on Rockingham Road.
  • 2:31 a.m.: Nolan M. Boucher, 20, of 15 Meetinghouse Road, Windham, was charged with unlawful possession and intoxication. He was released on a hand summons and is scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on May 13.
