Ribbon Cutting to Take Place at Moose Hill

The event will take place Oct. 2.

A ribbon cutting ceremony for a local Eagle Scout project will take place next month at Moose Hill School.

According to a release, the cutting will take place on Oct. 2 at 1:30 p.m.

Michael Donovan, a candidate for Eagle Scout, will join school district staff for the celebration of a new children's working garden that he developed and implemented.

Donovan is currently a high school student and was a student at Moose Hill School when the building first opened.

According to the release, he approached staff last fall wanting to give back to his community while earning his Eagle Scout Rank.

Donovan was involved in fundraising, organizing a yard sale and donations for the project. He also worked hard raising funds through the purchase of bricks to grace the walkway to the garden.

Donovan also provided a 3D model of his future plans for the garden, and met with the school district building and grounds department for project approval.

The garden is handicap accessible.
