Londonderry Man Seriously Injured in Litchfield Road Crash

A Londonderry man was seriously injured in a one-car accident on Litchfield Road on Thursday night.

The crash was reported at 8:22 p.m. According to emergency radio broadcasts, a man was found unconscious outside the car with a serious head injury. A medical helicopter was called to the scene and he was flown to Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston.

The Eagle-Tribune says the injured party was a 21-year-old Londonderry man, who suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in the accident. Speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.

According to the Londonderry police log, Litchfield Road was temporarily closed down at Mammoth Road. A Public Service of New Hampshire pole was also damaged in the crash.

Police Lt. Tim Jones said the investigation is ongoing and he has no further information on the crash at this time because the reports have not yet been completed.
