Londonderry Man Charged with Burglary

Evan Sanborn and a second suspect were arrested after an alert neighbor tipped off police.

A Londonderry man was arrested early Friday morning on a burglary charge after an alert neighbor tipped off police.

Evan Sanborn, 22, of Londonderry was arrested by Manchester Police and charged with criminal liability to burglary and resisting arrest. Also arrested was Ricky Brodeur, 29, of Manchester, on a charge of burglary.

Around 2 a.m. Friday, Manchester Police responded to a Myrtle Street address in that city for a possible burglary in progress. A neighbor told Officer Andrew Fleming that he had seen two men enter a vacant building. One man entered through a basement window, and once inside, opened a door for the second man to enter.

Officer Robert Megown and K-9 Lynk initiated a search of the building, locating one of the men, later identified as Brodeur, hiding in the basement. He was identified as the man seen entering the building through the basement window. He also had two bags with him that contained various tools commonly used to cut piping.

The second man, later identified as Sanborn, was spotted hiding under a pine tree at a neighboring house, but fled on foot when police confronted him. Megown and Lynk tracked him to a Prospect Street address, where he was found hiding under a porch and taken into custody without further incident.
